So, my car is dead.  Despite my best efforts to repair my beloved Volvo, it is now junk.  Apparently in my trip over the curb, and through the fence and the shrubbery, the oil pan was torn off the car.  All the oil dumped out before the car came to a stop which, for those of you who are not car savvy, causes the engine to seize.  Hence, Dead Car.  ( Read more... )

So, it's been one year since I broke my tailbone.  It's healed, but it still hurts sometimes.  I thought I was finally going to catch a break with pain.  My shoulder has been acting up less, and my lower back aches only sometimes now, so...Yay.  I was looking forward to something resembling a pain free life.

Yeah.  Well, that was a nice dream.

Okay, so last week was a very big week for me.  I finally (FINALLY!) closed on my condo on Monday.  YAY.  Then on Friday, I got my new puppy.

That's a lie.  We only had rain today.  Lots of rain.  But the storm is still midway up the coast and making a big ol' mess.

So, today was actually the most productive day I've had in a while.  I can proudly say that I managed to repair an XBox 360 suffering the RROD.

I just got finished watching Sucker Punch.  I want to start by saying that I wanted to like this movie.

So, I was trying to find a gift for my father for this Father's Day, and I came across a website suggesting 'outdoors-y gifts' for dad.

One of the items was a 'sling bag'  which I thought would be incredibly useful, as my father does work outdoors all day long every day.

We were having a very nice family get together today when I spotted a shih tzu running in the street.  Naturally, I ran out of the house after the dog and picked it up to find its collar and bring it home.  The dog was obviously not a stray--it was 'fat' and well groomed.  Someone LOVES this dog.  But the dog had NO Collar.  So, I start walking ( Read more... )
